Day 1

It's been a while since I've done this but now that I'm looking at it, I'm kind of excited. I used to know basic html and had a couple of simple websites. Was on Livejournal too, but haven't been there in ages. I need to figure out some short cuts. This site will be a simple journal, focused on a health journey. Weight loss, yes, but also pain relief because that's my biggest motivator.

Confession time. I weighed today and I weigh over 240 lbs. Haven't weighed that much since I was pregnant with my second child. And it's killing me because I feel every ounce of it and I'm no spring chicken.

So here's a list for now of specific things I can think of that are wrong.

There's more, but I'll add it later. What am I doing about it? Been reading about earthing/grounding. It's intriguing enough that I thought I'd give it a try first because it's simple enough to do: go outside and stand or sit on the ground with bare feet or skin. I also want to make changes to what I eat, how I move, skin care, etc., but if I try it all at once I'll fail. So I'm starting with something simple this week and that is grounding, because the weather is pleasant and it has been a long time since I enjoyed just sitting outside with no shoes on.
